Kathryn D’Anna is a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia with over 19 years experience providing psychological therapy to individuals and families experiencing a range of difficulties.

Kathryn’s particular area of interest is working with people experiencing issues surrounding their relationship with food and their bodies and helping them find a sustainable, enjoyable and intuitive way of relating to and behaving around food.

Throughout her time working at private outpatient eating disorders facilities, Kathryn has worked with individuals and families experiencing all categories of eating disorders and disordered eating. 

Kathryn’s passion for advocacy and respectful treatment also led her to serve as a general member on the Board of Eating Disorders Victoria.

Kathryn’s therapeutic style draws upon evidence-based practice and will be tailored to the needs of the individual client. This may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy-Enhanced,SSCM, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Skills and Psychodynamic Therapy.

Kathryn strongly values a client centered approach to therapy, working together with her clients in taking steps at their pace towards achieving their counselling goals. Above all, Kathryn believes in providing people with an empathic and supportive therapeutic relationship to enable them to create positive change and develop a healthy, respectful relationship with themselves and their body.
